Privacy Policy
Effective October 3, 2026
The short version: Next Up Now reads your calendar on your phone to show what's next. It doesn't send your calendar anywhere, has no accounts, and doesn't track you.
Who we are
Next Up Now ("the app") is made by Bill Harned ("I", "me"). This policy explains what the app does with information on your device. Questions can go to bharned3@gmail.com.
Calendar information
The app asks for permission to read your calendar so it can show your current and upcoming meetings, find overlaps, work out when you're free, and schedule reminders. That information (event titles, times, locations, links, attendees and notes) is read and shown on your device only.
- It is not uploaded, sent to me, or shared with anyone.
- The app only reads your calendar. It never creates, changes or deletes events.
- The widget reads the same calendar information on your device to show what's next.
- You can turn calendar access off at any time in iOS Settings, and you can choose which calendars the app includes from within the app.
Notifications
If you turn on meeting reminders, the app asks for permission to send notifications. Reminders are created and delivered on your device. No notification information is sent to me or to any third party.
World Clocks and city search
The places you add to World Clocks, and your display choices, are stored only on your device. When you search for a city that is not in the app's built-in list, the text you type is sent to Apple's Maps service to find matching places and their time zones. That request is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. I do not receive or store these searches.
Information stored on your device
The app saves your settings on your device so they persist, such as which calendars to include, your reminder timing, your workday end time, your chosen "now" indicator, your World Clocks places and your chosen World Clocks view. This stays on your device and is removed if you delete the app.
What I do not do
- I do not collect personal information.
- I do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools of any kind.
- I do not require an account.
- I do not sell, rent or share information about you.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it doesn't collect information at all.
Your choices
You control the app's access in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security (Calendars) and Notifications. Deleting the app removes all of the information it stored on your device.
Changes to this policy
If the app's handling of information changes, I will update this page and the effective date above.
